Issue:
Changing the device class in pad settings does not change the in game instrument type. Changing the pad to guitar or drums results in vocals being connected (the default).
Expected result:
The in game instrument type should be guitar or drums depending on the device class selected in rpcs3's gamepad settings.
This title went ingame as of #7446 (reported on forums).
Your assumption is wrong: instruments in Rock Band 3 (and Rock Band 2, as well as other variants of RB games) are not normal Game Pads, they are USB devices loaded through sys_usbd.
Therefore, you having a Pad of any type will not affect anything on those games, it's not a bug in the Pad Settings, it's the game not using Game Pads as instruments.
