Ok so those last 2 days many patches was merged so i don't know yet where all those regression are from, if someone else testing resistance could help it would be nice
update : i tested many build, and i have hard time to find where the regression come from, on the oldest one i tested game won't start at all , on an other i tested, it happen less but still happen....

    1/2 time the game won't start and i need to restart rpcs3.exe

  • Regression from #unknow yet : game randomely crash

  • Regression from #unknow yet
    enemy have heavy regression , half of enemy are black, sometime it got totally glitched/dissepear (sceenshot attached)

I can confirm that I am also getting these issues listed above, and on top of that, I am also getting Out of Video Memory (VRAM)(VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DEVICE_MEMORY) constantly during gameplay as framerate hits below 15 or 20 fps which ends up crashing the game. I am using the default option and no tempering on the resolution scale.

Checking 0.0.8-9764, I can confirm this also has the problem when launching the game. The emulator constantly freezes after trying to boot the game or trying to exit the emulator. I will update the comment I wrote above.

Confirmed Booting issue is fixed with #7658. That leaves the 2 other issues to be addressed.

I keep getting this E {RSX [0x1e84108]} RSX: [Performance warning] Unexpected ZCULL read caused a hard sync spammed quite a lot and then followed by

F {RSX [0x1e912ec]} RSX: class std::runtime_error thrown: Assertion Failed! Vulkan API call failed with unrecoverable error: Out of video memory (VRAM) (VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DEVICE_MEMORY)
(in file C:\projects\rpcs3\rpcs3\Emu\RSX\VK\VKHelpers.h:357)

which crashes the entire game. Changing Drive wake up delay doesn't help and resolution is at default.

The boot crash is currently fixed now. I am still testing it for enemies being black but I find small objects being black rather than the enemies. The main bother to me is that Zcul Rsx issue which massively spams the log and then vram error pops up freezing the game.

@Nekotekina The hotfix #7658 fixed Resistance 1, but broke Resistance 2 [BCES00226] for me. It's an infinite loading screen. Anyone else have this?

Edit: Fixed.

@jeremybris yes i tested resistance 2 , stuck on first loading screen
for resistance 1 i will retest it rightnow with most recent build
edit :
still have black and glitchy npc
still random crash

F {PPU[0x1000000] Thread (main_thread) [0x003d3130]} VM: Access violation reading location 0x40 (unmapped memory)

but for the vram out of video memory, i never had this bug personally, it only happen randomely when i put resolution upscale to 300% (4k) but at resolution 100% i never had out of memory issue, maybe graphic card too weak on memory ?

I am not sure why I get the vram out of video memory error, but it randomly happens for me, and quite frequently. My resolution scale is at default always and my graphics card is an Nvidia Gtx960m. This is the first game I am getting a video memory error of all the ones I have.

@jeremybris do you have the black npc bug too ?
because i tested back an 60days old build.. and the big still there, but when i was testing the game 60 days ago, the bug wasn't there....
i tried to delete every caches folders and shaderlog folder but still happen, so i don't know what it come from ...

figured out i was on llvm compiler, i usually play on asmjit ...
i tested with asmjit compiler and everything fine on recent build
