Astroneer Launcher by RWE Labs is an unofficial new game launcher for the System Era game, "Astroneer" that is designed to run the steam version of the game with some additional automated (and manual) features to enhance the experience. It was born after a developer for RWE Labs experienced a corrupted save file during a power outage. It was then that he discovered that the game does not automatically backup saves and that steam cloud overwrites the saves with corrupted saves and doesn't keep a backup either. To combat this, the Astroneer Launcher was born. Astroneer Launcher will launch the game whilst taking a backup of your entire saves collection 1 2 as well as giving you the opportunity to back them up manually whenever you want.

It's your responsibility to read the license agreement when installing the software if you intend on using it as much as it's our responsibility to do our best to show it to you. If you're modifying and/or downloading the source code, however, your responsibility to understand what you are and are not permitted to do become even more of a big deal - and it's your responsibility. Please familiarise yourself with our license agreement before even downloading a copy of the source code.
We'd like to take the opportunity to mention the Astroneer EULA (End User License Agreement) and clarify that we have created and developed this software in a way that does not breach the EULA. Firstly, it is important to state the following in regard to the Astroneer Launcher:
