Last update was in July 2018, no commits since then. Hundreds of open issues, most with no response. Is Rainloop dead?

Hello there,

If don't get any feedback, it's likely. Oct 20th 2018 doesn't seem to far away, at least for me, though no responses to issues is telling. I suppose one could purchase a standard license to get official support however.

@extremeshok Apparently the same day I asked this question. Still. I understand if devs need to take a break, but there should be more transparency about what's going on. Meanwhile users keep posting issues and questions in good faith.

Hello there,

Anyone could fork it, I was considering forking it myself and merge some of the pull requests. Though maintaining is entirely something else.

There's now a new fork of Rainloop that is called SnappyMail which is being actively maintained.
