Now compiles on MacOSX and Windows. Not yet tested on Linux.

No change to the GUI, just edits to allow MacOSX to find the libgeotiff library.
For installation on MacOSX install the libgeotiff library first from here:

Small update to allow selection of both 'tif' and 'tiff' files.

Note: File names using the umlaut (e.g. ä) symbol will not be saved by the plugin. They will not appear in the list of files when OpenCPN is re-started.

Add the GeoTIFF packages.
Have built and used LibTIFF-4.0.10 from here:

Update for MUI.

This version does not require 'Work.zip'.

04 Mar 2019: Master code updated for Linux. Deb installer file added for Ubuntu.
06 Mar 2019: Use master code for compiling NOT the ZIPs here.
Compiling on Linux:
Add the GeoTIFF packages.

COMPILING WINDOWS: Use Work.zip for source of geotiff.lib and libtiff.lib

A sample tif is included.

19-Jan-2018: Added DEB for Linux users.

See the ReadMe for help on finding GeoTiff Satellite photos. A sample GeoTiff from VentureFarther is included below.

Transparency is adjusted with the sliders. OpenGL provides the best experience.

Compare charted features with the Satellite photo.

Massive help to develop this plugin came from WeatherFax_pi (Sean D'Epagnier) and also Bill Stockton (Chartaid).

GeoTiff and Tiff libraries and includes for compiling with Windows are in 'PhotoLayer.zip'. A guide to compiling your own versions of these + tools is here:
