When loading Thunderbird 52 error console logs:
Services.prefs.getStringPref is not a function
this occurs in inheritedPropertiesGrid.jsm

This was caused by removal of STEEL and introducing nsIPrefBranch.getStringPref and setStringPref to to store the global JSON object that is shared by mesquilla applications. I will write some workaround code to be bnackwards compatible, using nsIPrefBranch.getComplexValue instead.
