- We will provide a VirtualBox VM with everything you need for development, if you have time please install current versions of Virtualbox and Vagrant ahead of time.
NOTE: We’ll also have time in class to get your system setup and if you run into any problems, we’ll be there to help . The provided VirtualBox image will have Ubuntu installed and the necessary tools to complete class exercises. - You'll also need a text editor or IDE to edit your rails application. We like TextMate, Atom, RubyMine, but any good text editor you're comfortable with will do. Syntax highlighting and code completion are nice features to have. We even have friends who use Emacs and vim!
