When using the default Firefox Previewer for feeds (RSS/Atom), clicking on the "Bookmarks" > "Subscribe to This Page..." (or sub-menu item if applicable) does nothing (except closing the menu).
I imagine Request Policy is blocking the request in the background, but the user interface still shows policy information for the current page; it is thus impossible to allow the request.
Since the request is coming from the browser's chrome, I suggest that it should always be allowed.

Subscribing via the Feeds tab in the Page Info dialog (CTRL+I) works (as a workaround).
Or, you know, CTLR+U, CTRL+F, (alternate|atom|rss|feed), select, CTRL+C, ALT+F4, CTLR+L, CTRL+V, ENTER ;).
