Remote participation

It would be nice if people could join remotely and take part. Some options include Google+, Vidyo, etc.

I've pinged Moz about this. Waiting to find out if the space has this capability.

Ok, this is what I have so far... Mozilla uses Vidyo for this kind of thing (http://www.vidyo.com/). The Vidyo client is available in the Apple App store, in the Google Play Store and also for Mac OX, Windows and Linux platforms. Once installed, you can use it outside Mozilla in a very straightforward way, we just need to send an invitation link that will open in their Vidyo Client automatically. To generate the link, will have to start the Vidyo client, then click "Place a call" then go to "Control meeting" and hit the "Invite by Email" envelope. This is the preferred method within Mozilla.

The room has 2 cameras facing the speaking area. But we will need to pass around microphones when speaking.

In this case we should probably create an email list of remote participants and add some details so that people can download the client in advance.

Does anyone have a download link for the Mac desktop client? Do I have to sign up for the "Free Trial" on vidyo.com?

Google found a download link for me here: http://information-technology.web.cern.ch/services/fe/vidyo/download/vidyodesktop-mac, but I'm not sure if that's kosher for non-CERN folks.

@eeeps, I'm trying to get a definitive answer about the vidyo setup... if I recall correctly, when I send out the link, it will ask you to install the client automatically. I'm going to get confirmation about this - but if you've ever used something like GoToMeeting, I think it works the same.
