steps to play pokemon gamelink

First of all, the saves that will be used are those from the gambatte core.

It has also been fixed that the saves were not synchronizing properly, so saves will no longer be lost.

For GB/GBC in adhoc mode (console to console):

For this, there are two applications in PORTS, namely "GB-GBC P1 server lan" and "GB-GBC P2 client lan".
    1. The player who creates the ADHOC network will have to select "GB-GBC P1 server lan".

    2. The player connecting to the ADHOC network "miyoomini" will have to select "GB-GBC P2 client lan".

    3. Once inside, both players will see the same menu, and each one will have to select the roms they want to use in the same order.

    4. The program does everything automatically, so there is nothing else to do once the two roms have been selected and launched.

For GB/GBC in host mode (console connected to the internet):

For this mode, there is the new DoubleCherry core, for which retroarch has also been updated to version 1.18.0.
The steps are as follows:
    1. In the Simplemenu menu, press SELECT on the rom you want to use and select the DoubleCherryGB_libretro core.

    2. Once inside the emulator, enter the retroarch menu and select Core Options, and set the following options:

      for player 1:

Number of emulated Gameboys (reload) = 1

      for player 2:

Number of emulated Gameboys (reload) = 1

restart retroarch if it wasn't in that mode.

    3. Player 1 will create a game host and Player 2 will join that game, which can be done at any time and with any rom.

    4. Have fun!

For GBA in any network mode:

For this mode, there is the updated gpsp_plus_libretro core, also requiring the new retroarch in version 1.18.0.

It is also worth noting that it is currently only compatible with GBA games that used the GBA wireless adapter.
    1. In the Simplemenu menu, press SELECT on the rom you want to use and select the gpsp_plus_libretro core.

    2. Once inside the emulator, enter the retroarch menu and select Core Options, and set the following options:

Link Cable Connectivity = GBA Wireless Adapter

    3. Player 1 will create a game host and Player 2 will join that game, which can be done at any time and with any rom.

    4. Have fun!

how to define time zone:

To define the time zone we must go to the clock application, you will see that at the end of the whole the new element TZ has been established, we simply select the desired value there until the time is correct and press START to save the changes (it is not established in the hour digit, one thing is the time and another thing is the time zone, that's why the new element TZ), then we must restart the console so that the changes are permanent. In this way, from now on, every time the console connects to the internet, the correct time will be set.
