  • Was reminded how easily it is to offend in writing. My apologies to anyone that may feel slighted, talked down to, or otherwise hurt by anything I have written.
  • Today figured out that I can name my git branches with {BUILDUP} to signal freedom of speech on my pull requests.

Well, all I did last week was new and I learnt a lot on how to use GitHub though there is more to learn.

This week I would like to do some basic ruby code. :)

  1. I committed to committing and I'm still committing 😄
  2. I'd like to use this opportunity to make a regular habit out of learning something -- code or not -- per day. 😄

1.- I contributed in an adventure making PR every day
2.- Start a new game, and if the time zone allows, do pair programming with Viktor :-)

I learned that it's not good enough just to push the code to GitHub... I have to create a pull request! /me is eliminated 😿

On day 8, I learned that I don't know much about Rails...yet another rabbit hole I am willing to do down!

Today I was struggling to implement "flash notices" using Bootstrap 3 in my rails app, and I came across a delightfully elegant solution online. I'm starting to get a kick out of elegant solutions to problems!
