Few updates on Twilight Imperium, now that I've actually gone back over the rules:

It's six Stage One public objectives, not eight. We had six public objectives out last game so this screw-up had no impact.

You can win the game without your home planet. You can even get points through game effects like the Imperial Strategy. You just can't complete objectives. If we want to keep it as a house rule that you need your home planet to win, that's fine.

Speaking of winning, HUGE clarification for the Imperial Strategy: If you draw the card Imperium Rex, the game ends. Otherwise, you draw a public objective and gain two points. So if you call Imperial and you have 7 points, and someone else has 8, and you draw Imperium Rex, you DO NOT gain 2 points and the other person wins.

Refresh abilities on space stations work a bit different than we thought. Basically, during the Refresh Planets step, you can choose NOT to refresh a planet to gain its refresh bonus. So the trade goods satellites would just stay tapped and generate 2 TG's every round.

Trade Agreements can only be broken during the Status Phase, although this comes up so rarely it's no surprise no one was really clear on the rule for it.

Likewise, units can only be scuttled during the Status Phase.

We still have no clear ruling on 'when space battle is initiated', so lets set the house rule that a space battle officially begins when two players start rolling against each other.

Shock troops are awesome and I have no idea why we aren't using them:

  1. Shock troops are created when a Ground Force unit rolls a 10. In such a case, the Ground Force is replaced with a Shock Troop token.

  2. Shock troops hit on a 5 instead of an 8.

  3. Shock troops must ALWAYS be taken as casualties before everything else (even mech units sustain damage).

  4. Shock troops MUST be accompanied by at least one Ground Force. If a Shock Troop is alone, it transforms into a Ground Force.

  5. If a Shock Troop wins a battle on a planet with a Space Dock and/or PDS, the Space Dock and/or PDS is captured (free units for invading player).

  6. Shock troops are treated as Ground Forces for all cards and abilities.

Is there any rule/clarification we need that I missed?
