Ryujinx Crashes on M1 Mac #1805
Comments
Did you check the console window to see if there is any error (red text) in there? I had a similar crash, and it turned out I didn't have gtk installed (there was a gtk related error in the console). I grabbed the "gtk+3" package from Homebrew, then the Ryujinx main window would load fine. I still can't get any game to start though, the emulator just freezes when a game is loaded. |
any update to start ryujinx on a m1 mac? |
@janhp this functionality will likely not be added for many months, as native .NET core support will not exist until .NET 6 (slated for November 2021 release). And that is but one piece of the puzzle. |
.NET 6 preview is available on macOS! |
Care to explain why was this closed with no further comment? Is this already fixed? Or is it a won't fix? Or something else? |
macOS builds are now available for Intel & Apple silicon on the official Ryujinx website. |
I know Ryujinx isn't currently supported for M1 Macs, it hardly works on Intel Macs from what I've read, but I thought someone who knows something could take a look at the error code that it gives me when it crashes upon startup and tell me what they think the issue is (aside from the obvious). I've been able to run the Dolphin Emulator and Citra 3DS so I'm optimistic that it might work with some adjustment on the M1 Macs.
