With #1003 it will be possible to disable team und namespace creation by users.

Then as an admin I have to do the following:

  1. create a team (but not in the admin tab but in the normal teams tab, which itself is a bit annoying, since I want to do an admin task)
  2. add a new member as team owner
  3. remove myself as team member

Wouldn't it be better to create a team w/o having the admin added as first team owner (effectively omitting step 3)?
Wouldn't it be better to put admin's tasks team creation and namespace creation under the admin tab and there as an option while displaying the list of teams and namespaces?

Totally right 👍 Thanks for the feedback. Let's see if we can get this implemented before the 2.1 release.

Delaying to 2.4 because we don't have the time for this (we are already on code freeze)

I'm going to propose 2 things regarding this:

  • Ability to define an owner when creating a team
  • Reorganize admin pages

The first one is very clear and it's currently in progress. The other one will require a bit more of thinking/work but I completely agree with you that it's kinda confusing/weird that the user can't do things (e.g.: create team) in the admin pages.

I'm going going to close this one in favor of #1765 and #1766.
