I need a button on the left side to put an svg image as template mode.
I would like it to be by means of example extension ext-bottonsvgtemplate.js thanks.

What example extension are you talking about? Are you saying you want it to be an extension or are you saying you already have an extension in mind? If the latter, where is this file you are talking about?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I have in mind to make an extension similar to image tool insert image by url.

But my idea is that the user does not write the url. If you do not directly insert an image

But unfortunately I can not separate the code from the image tool button.

Please test against the latest pre-release: https://svg-edit.github.io/svgedit/releases/svg-edit-3.0.0-alpha.4/editor/svg-editor.html

The current Image Tool extension has already been fixed so that if you cancel the dialog, it will no longer add the sample image.

And issue #191 addresses the general desire for all buttons in the left toolbar as (disable-able) (modularized) extensions. Feel free to subscribe to that issue if you want to be notified whenever that may get implemented. But I think your particular concern has already been addressed in the latest pre-release.

Closing as that should address your concern, but feel free to reopen/comment further if not.
