Describe the bug
Background image url setting cannot be removed.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Open editor preferences dialog.
Input a url in the Image URL field.
Click 'OK'
Open the dialog again, and clear the input content.
Click 'OK'
Open the dialog again, see the input content.

Expected behavior
Save user settings correctly.
