Welcome to Moody, a web application designed to help you track your daily mood and emotions, then reference them at a later date. Moody aims to provide you with a simple and effective way to record and reflect upon your daily emotions, enabling you to gain valuable insights into your well-being over time.
- Mood Tracking: Moody allows you to record your mood on a daily basis. Using a simple rating system, you can easily select and save your current emotional state, ranging from very sad to very happy.
- Journal Entries: Alongside your mood, you will write journal entries. Express your thoughts, experiences, or any other relevant information you would like to capture about your day.
- Reflection: Moody provides a log that allows you to navigate and select previous entries. This feature enables you to view your past mood ratings and journal entries, allowing for meaningful comparisons and reflections.
To use Moody, follow these steps:
- Create an Account: Register for an account on the Moody web application. Provide your name, email address, and a secure password to create your account.
- Login: Once you have an account, log in using your credentials.
- Create a New Entry: On the main dashboard, you'll see a button that allows you to record a new entry in your journal.
- Post Your Entry: In the New Journal Entry page you will see 5 different journal entries and a mood rating system. Enter the appropriate entries for each question. Choose the appropriate mood rating that reflects your current emotional state and click the "Post" button.
- Analyze Your Data: Visit the previous entries section to explore data visualizations that help you gain insights into your mood patterns over time.
Moody is built using the following technologies:
- Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Materialize, Quote API
- Back-end: Node.js, ExpressJS, Handlebars
- Database: SQL (for development), Sequelize (for production)
