Getting Started 🚀

Prerequisites

• Python 3.7+
• A Discord bot token
• An OpenWeatherMap API key

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-username/EdgertonWeatherBot.git
   cd EdgertonWeatherBot
   

2. Create a virtual environment:

   python -m venv venv
   source venv/bin/activate
   

3. Install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

4. Set up environment variables:
   Create a .env file in the project directory and add your Discord bot token and OpenWeatherMap API key:

   DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN=your_discord_bot_token_here
   OPENWEATHERMAP_API_KEY=your_openweathermap_api_key_here
   
   

Running the Bot

1. Start the bot:

   python main.py
   

2. Use the !weather command in your Discord server to get the current weather for Edgerton, Kansas.
