  • macOS Version: 14.2.1
  • Processor Type (Intel/Apple): Apple M2
  • MySQL Version: 8.0.32

Is Issue Present in Latest Beta?

Description
With Sequel Ace open and fullscreen on a second monitor, when the auto-complete popup appears a swipe gesture to the left occurs on the laptop monitor and focus changes to what ever app or window is open on the desktop pane.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Connect second monitor to MacBook
  2. Open app and fullscreen it on the laptop
  3. Open Sequel Ace and fullscreen it on the second monitor
  4. Make sure the fullscreen app is on the laptop and then on the second monitor with sequel ace start typing to bring up the auto complete
  5. The fullscreen on the laptop should swipe to the left or to the desktop
  6. The typing focus on the second monitor moves to whatever is open on the desktop.

Expected Behaviour
Focus should remain on the second monitor and sequel ace

Super weird, I haven't received any other reports of this nor been able to reproduce myself. I'd definitely be happy to review a fix for this one though

I am having this same problem. I have a laptop + two monitors (we'll call them M1 and M2). Under System Settings -> Displays, I have M1 set to Use as Main Display. The Built-in Display and M2 are both set to Extended Display. Each display is configured using the Default resolution for each monitor and using standard rotation.

screenshot 1

Sequel Ace is fullscreen'd to M2, and whenever the autocomplete kicks in, Mission Control will switch to the main desktop of M2.

Ok. Now that I've gone into my Display settings and clicked around a bit, I cannot reproduce the issue anymore. I did not actually change any settings. I simply clicked on the Arrange button, as well as clicking on each of the monitor icons to see each monitor's settings.

Weird. Maybe it's configuration based? I've had this laptop for a few versions of macOS, and I haven't updated my display settings since I set up the computer when I first got it. My best guess is maybe the updated how the settings are stored (or something was corrupted in my previous settings that got overwritten).

I don't know, but I'm posting this anyway in case it helps OP and somebody else.

Sigh. Now it's back again, so I don't know what to say.

Edit: And it switches M1, not M2, to the desktop.
