Downloadable blockchain (~795k blocks)
Updated 4/7/18
- Firstly, (making sure that the wallet is not running), please make a backup of your
wallet.dat
file to a safe place, even if you have made earlier backups. You can find it in:
Windows:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SHIELD\wallet.dat
Linux:/home/<username>/.SHIELD/wallet.dat
macOS:/Library/Application Support/SHIELD/wallet.dat
- Then use 7zip to extract the contents of
SHIELDchain795k.7z
into:
Windows:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SHIELD\
Linux:/home/<username>/.SHIELD/
macOS:/Library/Application Support/SHIELD/
- Lastly, start the wallet and wait for it to finish syncing.
NOTE: The wallet may appear to "freeze" when loading after you follow these steps - this is normal. The QT wallet needs about 2-3 mins to load the blockchain on each start. If you want to hide the splash screen while it loads, you can add splash=0
to your SHIELD.conf
file.

Electrum update 2.4.2 - TOR version [DO NOT USE]
Use proxy in the network tab to change it to the tor client:
Common setting: localhost | 9150
NOTE: DO NOT USE. A critical vulnerability has been discovered in the original Electrum source. It is strongly recommended NOT to use Electrum until it has been updated to version 3.0.5! Read more about the vulnerability here.
If you STILL want to use it, the download is provided above.
