Quran-Reciters 📖

Introduction

The Quran Reciter and Chapter Viewer is a Python program that allows users to interactively explore and listen to recitations of Quranic chapters (surahs) by various reciters. It provides a user-friendly terminal interface for selecting and playing Quranic chapters, making it convenient for users to access and enjoy Quranic recitations.

Features

• Reciter Selection : Users can choose from a list of Quranic reciters, each with their unique style and voice.
• Chapter Exploration: Once a reciter is selected, users can browse and select specific Quranic chapters they want to listen to.
• Audio Playback: The program provides an option to listen to the selected Quranic chapter using an external audio player (e.g., mpv).

Requirements

• Python3

• 'mpv' audio player (for audio playback)

Installation

Download install.sh file.

Makes install.sh runnable & run it.

chmod +x intall.sh
./install.sh

Usage

To use the program, users run the Quran command in their terminal. They can then navigate through a list of reciters, select a reciter, explore available Quranic chapters, and play the selected chapter's recitation.Type q to previous page and close the program.
