Statue Upgrading System

The Statue Upgrading System is a feature introduced in the "Statues" mod that allows players to upgrade and level up their mob statues. This page will provide an overview of how the system works and what upgrades are available.

Obtaining a Statue

To start upgrading a statue, players first need to obtain a statue of the desired mob. This can be done by killing the mob, with a 1% chance of obtaining the statue by default (which can be changed in the config).

Obtaining a Statue Core

In addition to the statue itself, players also need to obtain a Statue Core which drops from Statue Bats. These can be found in the same locations regular bats can be found, but be careful as they deal thorns damage when hit!

Upgrading the Statue

Once the player has obtained a statue and a Statue Core, they can craft a S.T.A.T.U.E ("Statue Table for Applying Tiered Upgrade Enhancements") and insert the Statue Core and desired statue. After pressing the "Chisel" button, the statue will be upgraded to a state in which it can level up.

Statue Leveling

After upgrading the statue, players can level it up by killing 10 more of the corresponding mob while the statue is in their inventory. The maximum level for a statue is 16.

Statue Upgrades

There are several different upgrades available for the statues:

  • Looting: Allows the player to right-click the statue to generate loot (with a 10 second cooldown by default).
  • Automation: Allows the Looting upgrade to run automatically and auto-eject into adjacent chests.
  • Spawner: Turns the statue into a spawner that spawns the mob the statue is based on.
  • Despawner: Stops the mob from spawning near the statue.
  • Interaction: Allows certain mobs to have their own unique special abilities when upgraded with Interaction. For example, the Cow statue allows the player to right-click with a bucket to obtain a milk bucket.
  • Mob Killer: Kills the mob if it gets nearby. There are three tiers, each with increasing levels of drops and experience.
  • Sound: Makes the statue play the mob's sound when interacted with or powered by redstone.
  • Speed: Decreases the cooldown between interactions.
  • Glowing: Causes the statue to emit light equivalent to the level of Glowing.
  • Unglowing: Removes one tier of Glowing from the statue.

Conclusion

The Statue Upgrading System is a complex and rewarding feature of the "Statues" mod that adds a new layer of challenge and reward for players who are dedicated to collecting and upgrading their statues. With a variety of upgrades and the ability to level up the statues, players will have plenty of content to explore and experiment with.
