A series of items or blocks to modify your individual or area’s difficulty.

I imagine these to be expensive end game type items as they wouldn’t really be needed until difficulty gets silly, like at 150+ which I’m in at the moment.

You could have a potion effect to reduce it temporarily for things like a gaia boss fight in Botania which is getting very hard with so many blights spawning in the late stages of the fight.

An item you could eat, like the hearts, to reduce difficulty for yourself permanently. Perhaps this could be made from 9 hearts as you run out of abuse for these once health maxes out.

You could have a block like the rfTools environmental controller that is RF powered and reduces difficulty in an area so you could have a safer base.

I’m finding that there aren’t any options to control difficulty once it gets really high.

These already exist (cursed heart and enchanted heart). At least if you are playing 1.12+. They have no recipes provided by the mod, you need to add your own.

A potion for temporary difficulty reduction sounds interesting, I'll give that some thought.
