Thank you for implementing the new "Monthly and Daily" view. It is the reason why I just switched from DigiCal to SimpleCalendarPro.
I have a feature request to show multiple event dots per day instead of just one. Different colors allowed me a quick overview for example if I have work shift on a day, or if I have uni, or if I meet a friend etc.
A perfect implementation (except for the ads and how they may collect data) is DigiCal, a screenshot of their Month and Day view is seen on their website: https://digibites.nl/digical/views#mView. It shows up to ten event dots per day, if there are more than 10 the 10th is shown as a + symbol. And it shows a bar on top of the dots for events that span the whole day.
That would be sooo amazing!
Btw I dropped you a donation, as I read you are doing this full-time now, wow! Of course no strings attached I support universal basic income and you know what you need. Your apps are very valuable!

I for myself use it in Blackberry 10 Calendar actually only in a "boolean fashion" - to know whether the day is completely empty or if there is something. Still I prefer the rectangular bars (I have tried dots but switched back to rectangles after a while) showing "how much" and from which calendars (using colors) are events.
For the record this is how the bars look like in a Blackberry 10 Calendar in a daily view (the bar with day numbers as a collapsed form of "Monthly and daily view" seems to be out of scope for Simple Calendar 😢):
