Bug: Random behaviour and fails using MS OneDrive or Google Drive shared folders #537

For be able to have the same list on all my devices I use MS OneDrive or Google Drive shared folders but it doesn't work well (with normal text editors it works).

It's easy to reproduce the problem:

  • Copy the list txt file to the device's Google Drive folder.
  • Open the file from Notes - first time works fine. (BTW in the two drives is on both disks you can open the txt file with Notes easily with one click).
  • Add or modify the list (Notes says that it has been saved correctly)
  • If you use Notes immediately, I have not detected problems.
  • Close Notes.
  • Even on the same device, when you reopen Notes the list appears empty.
  • If you close and reopen the file, the list appears fine with the last modification but Drive not able to update it in the cloud

With MS OneDrive the problem is worse because the file is not updated, even though Notes says "successful save", and when you reopen it it is the initial unchanged.

If this works, I would also share the Shopping List with the family.
