A cargo subcommand to check if a given crate name is available.

Installation

cargo install cargo-free --locked

If you do not want a colored help message and colored output, you can install without the feature:

cargo install cargo-free --locked --no-default-features

Usage

CLI

$ cargo free name-to-check
Available
$ cargo free name1 name2 name3
name1: Available
name2: Available
name3: Unavailable

Library

use cargo_free::{check_availability, Availability};
