Same bug exists in both the 1.6.0a14 release and a freshly built master version from here, only mods installed are mantle and tinkers construct with forge 10.12.2.1121.

how to reproduce:
place a chest and a crafting station next to eachother
put any item in chest
open crafting station gui, click item

This is still happening on TC_1.7.0_1.6.0d32 too.
