Manual Search for entire seasons

It should also have a separate filter for full season releases.

Wilhe implementing LostFilm.tv indexer I realized some episode releases are moved to a season pack torrents so having this feature both in indexer and Sonarr would be awesome!

1. It requires filtering to be added to manual searching
2. It's in the v3.x milestone and v3.0 hasn't been released

Just because we haven't gotten to it yet doesn't mean it's being ignored. There are hundreds of open issues and only so much time we can dedicate to working on it (work, family, friends and anything else). If you feel we're not getting to it fast enough you can contribute to Sonarr.

I'm not usually one to bitch about free open source software, but 4 years for what I felt was a basic feature seems like it's being ignored. Glad to see it's in the milestone build, didn't know that. When you track github issues how do you know when it's been added to a milestone build? Also i'd love to help you guys code, let me know how i can help. I know html, kind of.

The amount of time passed doesn't change that, we do what we can when we can, bitching about it here doesn't change that, we can appreciate you want a feature, but complaining it hasn't been added yet isn't constructive. We'd love to implement everything quicker than we do, but the reality is, with a couple devs working on it (and a little help here and there), that just won't happen. Filtering in the v2 app is also quite horrible, which is why it was never implemented, the effort to overcome the filtering in v2 would make this a lot harder than it needs to be, in v3 it'll be much easier to implement.

You can see which milestone it's in on the side, under Milestone, it doesn't give a ton of information beyond setting a rough version it'll come in (not the v3.0 release, but after it's available).

I know the milestone has no eta, but whats a ball park here, 1 month, 4 years? I have no clue how long these things take obviously.

We can't commit to an ETA (and in general we don't provide them), it'll come down to when v3 releases and what comes from that (any bugs/issues that need to be addressed). It'll be more than a month.

I'm very interested in this feature! I always use private tracker (torrent) season packs for previously completed seasons, and it would be great to be able to select those season packs out of the manual search option in Sonarr. Right now I'm doing manual importing for all those, which has become cumbersome.

I see the filtering pre-req is in the 3.0 milestone, but is the plan for a "manual search of entire season" being a feature also implemented right in 3.0? Or is that something planned for a 3.X release?

Can the same code that handles BTN season packs just be hacked in to support HDBits until such time as a 'proper' implementation is realistically achievable?

FYI, HDBits are just as on on-the-ball with deleting individual episodes once season packs are posted as BTN are.
