Touropedia - Your Personal Tourism Guide

Overview

Touropedia is a Python-based tourism guide application with a user-friendly GUI created using Tkinter. It provides personalized recommendations for exploring Pune based on user interests, allowing users to rate and discover educational, adventure, shopping, historical, pilgrimage, and nature destinations.

Features

• Rating System: Users can rate and contribute to the community-driven rating database.
• Explore by Interest: Select destinations tailored to educational, adventure, shopping, historical, pilgrimage, or nature preferences.
• Dynamic Search: Search and retrieve detailed information about specific destinations.

Getting Started

1. Database Setup:

   • Ensure you have a MySQL database named 'rating.'
   • Update database connection details in the script.

2. Dependencies:

   • Install required Python packages: tkinter, mysql.connector.

3. Run the Application:

   main.py

Usage

• Run the script and follow the on-screen prompts to explore destinations, rate places, and discover new favorites.
