This is an alpha version of SpaceXpanse Metaverse Simulator. For now it is a 32-bit application and uses DirectX 7 so you can use it without any graphic card present.

This version includes many improvements and new features that will enhance your experience and immerse you in a captivating yet near-real virtual world. Some of the highlights of this release are:

  • You can now fly a space cruiser, thanks to its first expansion pack.
  • You will be able to see all the near-real physics forces applied to it.
  • It’s coming with an impressive sound experience, which will help you immerse yourself in it.
  • New scenarios are included for you to explore our solar system even further than before.
  • New places are added with updated scenery.
  • It comes with detailed API documentation too: SpaceXpanse Metaverse Simulator wiki.
  • The bugs are fixed, and there are some other improvements.

This version does not include most of the planetary texture files required for running SpaceXpanse at its best, so you need to install those separately. The easiest way to do so is by downloading them through a torrent file from here: Textures or directly through a magnet link :
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:12cb58c94eaebdb48deacbeae41114d53409cd53&dn=Textures.zip&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3a6969. For SpaceXpanse to use the texture installation, they should be installed in C:/Textures. Alternatively, you can configure the texture directory before starting SpaceXpanse by setting the PlanetTexDir entry in SpaceXpanse.cfg.

You can find the first major expansion pack attached below. It will give access to a new space cruiser to fly across our solar system, alongside with new scenarios and some other exiting capabilities.
To install it, just download and unarchive it over the original SpaceXpanse installation folder. Don't forget to say "Yes" when asked to overwrite the existing files!

N.B.

  • If you experience some errors saying there're missing DLLs, just go to www.dll-files.com, download the files in question and copy them in the main directory. And if you have suspicions about them, you can check these DLLs with https://virustotal.com/.
  • To activate the sound, when Launchpad is open, navigate to Modules on the left side menu, then click of the checkbox in front of XSound module.
