Solution: f:view from masterLayout wasn't effective. Copied it down to each single page solved it.

Problem was, that I had placed the "f:view locale" on the master template, but it seemed that this wasn't properly derived from there. The Solution was instead of using the master template for this one, I copied it down to the single pages.
Took me quite a while to get this out.
