Additions

Weapons

  • Added 3 new prehardmode desert themed weapons crafted from Sturdy Fossils and Bones
    • Arid Throwing Knives, melee weapon that throws 3 to 4 arid knives in a similar style to Vampire knives
    • Arid Sandblaster, Flamethower that fires our a stream of burning sand
    • Arid Sandblast Staff, creates an explosion of sand at the cursors location after a small delay
  • Added 3 new weapons crafted from Meteor Bars
    • Space Spear, spear that causes 2 small meteor fragment to fall from the sky upon striking an enemy
    • Space Bow, arrows fired from this fall from the sky, similar to the Daedalus Stormbow
    • Space Saucer Staff, Sentry weapon, summons a floating saucer in the air that rains down lasers onto enemies.
  • Added the Jungle Tree Staff, crafted from Rich mahogany, Vines, and Jungle spores. Summons a small jungle tree sentry that launches several spike balls into the air when enemies are near
  • Added the Magma Orb Staff, crated from Hellstone Bars, summons a magma pillar sentry that launches ricocheting fireballs at nearby enemies
  • Added the Equinox, a hardmode sword crafted from light and dark shards, as well as souls of light and night and a tier 3 hardmode bar, and has a left and right click function
    • Left clicking fires out homing light Essence projectiles that deal 60% extra damage than the main sword
    • Right clicking fires out Dark Essence projectiles that travel slowly but explode on contact or after a short time and have a chance to inflict the Essence of Dark debuff
  • Added 4 new weapons dropped from the Lunatic Cultist, or obtained from its treasure bag in expert (which it now drops)
    • Lunatic Spear of Fire, a spear that summons fireball blasts that inflict the Ultraburn debuff
    • Lunatic Bow of Ice, a bow that fires 2-3 regular arrows alongside a special ice arrow that causes multiple ice shards to fall from the sky on impact, and inflicts the Ultrafreeze debuff
    • Lunatic Tome of Ancient Light, magic weapon that launches spinning ancient light projectiles that home into enemies and deal constant damage to them
    • Lunatic Staff of Lightning, magic weapon that rapidly fires out piercing lightning bolts

Accessories

  • Added the Insulated cuffs, crafted from a shackle and insulated fabric, makes all weapons inflict frostburn for 2 seconds or 3 seconds with broadswords
  • Added the Eye of Derpling, rarely dropped from Derplings Post-Plantera, that gives all weapons a chance to greatly knockback enemies and make them spin when attacked
  • Added the Luantic Hood of command, expert mode drop from the Lunatic cultist, it summons a mini cultist on both sides of the player that launches homing shadow fireballs at enemies

Armour

  • Added Star Warrior armour, crafted from Meteor Bars, sunplate blocks, and an evil material. (Credit to Hyperkatmanders for the sprite)
    • Grants universal damage buffs and +2 extra sentry slots
    • Set bonus summons a floating star above the player that launches homing stars at enemies
  • Added Santank armour crafted from Mechanical Scraps
    • Grants ranged damage and crit buffs
    • Set bonus makes you quickly charge up to 10 homing missiles, which can then be fired at once by pressing the armour special hotkey

Ammo

  • Added the Meteor Arrow, crafted from Meteor Bars and wooden arrow, when close to enemies they slightly home towards them for a short time
    • When used with the Space bow they pass through tiles

Tools

  • Added Santa’s Drill, Chainsaw, and Jackhammer, mechanical tools crafted from Mechanical Scraps
    • Have no range bonus but mine very quickly

Pets

  • Added the Strange Twilight Hood light pet item that summons a Twilight Figure Pet that resembles the twilight Armour (Pet item dedicated to Hyperkatmanders)
    • Found in locked dungeon chests, or a rare drop from any dungeon enemy
    • The pet floats in front of the player and provides light, and if it gets too far away from the player it teleports with similar visuals and sounds to the twilight armour teleport

Enemies

  • Added the Meteor Bomber enemy that spawns in Meteor biomes
    • It slowly floats above the player and rains down meteor fragments when directly over head
  • Added the Lihzahrd Flametrap enemy that spawns in the Jungle Temple post Plantera
    • It remains stationary, and fires ricocheting fireballs at the player
    • Drops Solar tablet fragments and has a chance to drop a power cell on death
  • Added the Perfectly Normal Derpling
    • Perfectly normal, nothing to see here
    • Can only be summoned via modded toolkit/hero’s Mod for now

Misc

  • Added ThePain vanity mask that has a 1 in 5000 chance to drop from any enemy
    • Reference to a Discord emote
  • Added Mechanical Scrap, a crafting material dropped in small quantities from Santa-NK1s
    • Used to craft a new set of armour and tools
    • Can also be used to craft the Chain Gun and Elfmelter

Changes

Weapons

  • Ice Grenades damage has been reduced from 75 to 60, and throw velocity has been lowered
  • Updated the Bloody Blade sprite
  • The Harpy Weapons recipe now requires an Evil material instead of Meteor Bars
  • The CryoFreezer projectiles now penetrate 10 armour
  • The Forbidden Bow arrows rain down sand slightly more often
  • The Forbidden staff damage reduced from 40 to 32
  • The HellSoul Blade damage increased from 60 to 65, usetime reduced from 15 to 14, and velocity of its projectile has been greatly increased
  • Derpling Sword damage increased from 75 to 80, usetime reduced from 13 to 12, and now launches projectiles every other swing instead of every 3
  • The Beetles summoned from beetle weapons now move much faster, and also have a slightly higher chance to be summoned from the Giant beetle Shell
  • The Giant Turtle and Beetle shells now lose 10% damage each time they pierce
    • They also now deal no damage for the first 30 frames after being summoned
  • The Frozen Queen’s Staff Sentry now inflicts the UltraFreeze Debuff, but damage reduced from 44 to 38
    • Sentry sprite updated
  • The Spiky launcher can now fire up to 16 Spiky Bombs at any time
    • Damage of the Spiky Bomb increased from 50 to 60
  • The Spooky Staff and the Lihzahrd Flamer now inflict the UltraBurn Debuff
  • The Mysterious Cultist hood mana drain while firing is now affected by mana usage reduction
    • It is now rarely dropped from only the Lunatic Cultist or its treasure bag
  • The Blazing Star damage increased from 120 to 140, and gives slightly fewer immunity frames to enemies
  • The Star Invader Staff and Stargazer Core now have auto use
  • Most floating modded sentries now slowly float up and down in the air

Accessories

  • Betsy’s flame has been reworked, it now has the functionality of the old Spooky Core but buffed
    • Using any weapon has a chance to summon 2-3 Betsy’s Flames that home into enemies and inflict the UltraBurn debuff
    • Also slightly increased player acceleration
  • Spooky Emblem has been revamped, now when holding any melee weapon nearby enemies get inflicted with the Spooked debuff that rapidly drains their life
    • Also grants 25 armour penetration to melee weapons
  • The Pharaoh's Urn sand blast effect now summons 6 projectiles instead of only 4
  • The Mechanical Spikes spike balls now start to generate immediately upon equipping
  • The Cryo Core has been renamed and resprited into the Frozen Heart but still functions the same as before with a new projectile sprite
  • Summoner’s Core has been renamed into the Frozen Queen’s Core

Armour

  • Removed the mana usage reduction and melee speed from the Twilight Armour
    • The Robe now grants slightly increased acceleration, and the Leggings now grant a slightly increase to jump speed and height
    • 1% Damage and Crit chance buff moved from the Leggings to the Hood
  • The Derpling Armour shockwave effect is now performed automatically when jumping instead of being triggered with the Armour Special Hotkey, and the range has been slightly reduced
    • Now has a 1.5 second cooldown
    • Jump and fall speed boosts have been slightly nerfed

Tools

  • The Cryo Pickaxe and Hamaxe have been renamed to the Frost Pickaxe and hamaxe respectively
  • The Asteroid Drillsaw sprite is now much longer, and damage has been increased from 45 to 60

Pets

  • The Baby Storm Diver pet has new AI, it now floats behind the player at a greater distance, and if it gets far from the player it has a new animation and greatly speeds up.
    • The particles it emits have been updated to fire from its back

Enemies

  • Changed the spawning of Temple Guardians pre-plantera
    • Upon entering the Temple, a status message appears warning the player, and after 5 seconds up to 8 Guardians will very quickly spawn regardless of current enemies and will attack the player.
    • If the player is able to leave the underground jungle they will stop attacking and flee
    • This was done as before they wouldn’t spawn if the enemy cap was already reached prior to entering the temple until an enemy despawned
    • It now moves slightly closer to the player than before
    • Now spawns slightly less often Post-Plantera and can be detected by a lifeform analyser
  • Angry Mushroom Sprite tweaked, and now spawns slightly more commonly
  • Drop chance for the Accessory from Surged Granite Cores, Fallen Warriors, and Angry Mushrooms increased from 25/33% to 30/40%
  • Tweaked some enemy debuff immunities and hitbox sizes

Potions

  • The Life Decay potion reworked, now gives a 25% chance to inflict the decayed debuff on attacked enemies for 5 seconds, or 33% with true melee
  • The Enhanced healing potion can now only heal up to 300 health regardless of the player’s max health.
    • This makes super healing potions slightly more efficient at and above 600 health

Misc

  • Hungrys can no longer drop HellSoul flames
  • Fixed some projectiles from being in the wrong damage class
  • Updated some tooltips
  • Updated mod description
