it seems to be an issue with my firefox setup as it works on GNOME Web (Epiphany), I'll try and narrow it down though 👍

it seems to happen even on a completely fresh install of Firefox 112.0.2 (DNF, Fedora 38). will try Firefox flatpak next.

Works with Firefox on Windows but it may be broken on Linux 🤔

Doesn't work in Firefox on MacOS. And it seems like there's no way to fix it, the browser just doesn't support readPixels for this framebuffer format (R32UI). Switching to a different format might help, but this would be not optimal.

(Just for reference, as @StrandedKitty already explained the cause of the issue)
I can confirm the same issue with Firefox 120.0 (64 Bit) ("Firefox Snap for Ubuntu")
