Description

Sublime no longer appears to render the editor when loaded, but can be seen in the "preview program" when hovering with the mouse pointer in Windows 10. Interestingly I can still interact with the editor, but I cannot see a full render, only what the windows 10 preview box shows.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Editor (nothing appears)

Expected behavior

Editor appears rendered when opened.

Actual behavior

Editor acts invisible - accepts user input.

Environment

  • Build: (unable to see)
  • Operating system and version: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134

Try to press Win+UP or Win+Left. It seems that editor might be outside of your screen.

However, did you try to close ST, remove (rename) %appdata%\Sublime Text 3 folder, reopen?

I think you're right - it must be a multiple screen issue. I have tried using those commands, but it didn't respond. However renaming the %appdata%/Roaming/Sublime Text 3 and starting sublime did render the editor (as unregistered and fully reset).

I guess I need to find where sublime keeps a record of editor positioning and reset it.

Thanks 👍

I believe these details might be stored under AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 3\Local\Session.sublime_session.

However I managed to escape this issue by running the command Ctrl+Shift+N to open a new window which did appear correctly! I have now closed the "broken" window via the taskbar.

Perhaps sublime needs a "reset window" shortcut?

Cheers 👍

Closing as this seems resolved.
