This pull request is good for the following things:

Add better assert with error levels indivudually to each file to make them independent.
Add to the pastebin API a new function: updateFile. This function compares the given file with the pastebin, and when the pastebin and the file contents are not equal, then it replaces that file with given pastebin.

I also added some more return values on numerous functions. Plus, I did some cosmetic work :P
