A part consisting of one or more items, but overall, runs for 15 minutes. You need to check how the last minute of the part looks.
It appears that currently, one must start the playout from the beginning of the part, then wait for the first 14 minutes of playout to happen, and only then do you get to see the last minute of the part.
If you want to see it again, you're now back in the same boat as originally - having to wait 14 minutes until the playout reaches the last minute.
What if the part is an hour long? This situation is not too practical.
How can this be done without having to start playout from the beginning each time?
Describe the solution you'd like
I imagine there are multiple ways of jumping to a location within the part could be achieved.
Here are some options that spring to mind:
Add an input field to the part to allow a time value to be supplied, which would inform the time to start playing from, instead of the start.
The vertical 'playhead' becomes draggable by the mouse, so that one can move it to where-ever is needed.
Use the mouse to add index markers to the timeline and have a couple more buttons on the part that allow user to jump from where-ever they are to the nearest/next index marker in the direction of the arrow they click as needed.
Additional context
Requiring the part to start from the beginning and require real time playout until it reaches the point of interest does not make any sense, especially when the part is long, and time available is short. Pretty much regardless of how long the part is, I don't expect anyone has time to wait until near the end of part is reached in real time. As the part runtime increases, the number of people willing to wait for the playout to reach the portion to be checked, I expect, drops considerably.
