Create a prototype to display the number of various types of amenities within walking distance (around 5km round-trip). E.g. how many grocery stores are within 2km? This can serve as a basis for "livability" metrics that can be pre-computed on the server for all buildings within a city.

Resources

GeoTrellis might be a useful source for calculating raster "heatmaps" based on suitability/sustainability metrics.
