Hello,

I have new tv (2020+) and using libvtcapture. Everything works fine with external sources, youtube, plex etc. but netflix and prime video images are not captured correctly, actual image is blank (i can see UI parts are being streamed to hyperion correctly though). I assume this is due to DRM; Is there any workaround for that ?

BTW. many thanks for all involved in this awesome project!

Yeah thats because of DRM, we sadly can't do very much at the moment. If we can fix up the library dile_vt for our TVs it would be promising, but I haven't had time for that at the moment.

First of all: thank you for your work and this great piece of software!

Yesterday I successfully rooted my tv LG OLED65CX with the new version of rootmy.tv looking forward to get everything working.
After a few minutes: FreeTV -> Yes.
But then I found the same issue with Netflix and Prime like @tsroka :/

The issue only exists for the newer TVs (2020+)?

Do you see a real chance to fix it?

Thank you!

Best Regards

Same problem with: LG 75UK6200PLB (released Q3/2018 and bought Q2/2019)

Using the 'libvt' library on WebOS 05.40.09

Same Problem with CX, but on HDMI the DRM Content works. So use a Shield, FireTV, Google TV etc….

Hi @dimitrij2k

How exactly did your friend use the Experimental dile_vt?

Hi @dimitrij2k

thanks for the quick reply! Well piccap is running on my G8, but it sends a black picture when using emby (a media center like kodi) or live tv for example. When I use youtube (for example), it sends the actual picture to hyperion. So that's why I asked what exactly you/he did in order to use the experimental dile_vt. Any pointers?

I am on the latest firmware (05.50.10) and have the device rooted, maybe that firmware is the issue? Downgrade is blocked though, so I cannot try an older firmware (I looked for a way to force a downgrade due to the fact that I have root, but I couldn't find a way to do so. The standard ways (USB Stick / local webserver on a networked computer) don't work at any rate.
