(potential)mailroom-nest: CORS issue?

Leaving a note here in case I forget at a later time. It would appear CORS is an issue for kissingbug-angular SOMETIMES but not all the time? I tried this the day prior and wasn't able to send an email through the Contact page of kissingbug-angular unless I specifically set the cors.origin = '*' on mailroom-nest. The next day, after a computer restart, that no longer seems to be the case and I can now send an email from kissingbug-angular to mailroom-nest without issue (so long as I'm connected to the dev network which is to be expected).
