Project Tschunk: Materials

We created the equipment required for our project (except webcam, computer and tripod) using laser-cutter and 3d-printer in realraum Graz.

laser-cutting the code-cards

Since the main part of our project consists of wooden cards representing code (and thus forming a program), we used a lasercutter to cut (and engrave) those cards out of wood. The required files can be found in the lasercut folder.

3d printing the camera mount

To be able to point our webcam at our code-cards from above, we created a camera mount. The first part of that camera mount allows us to fixate a lath/piece of wood on a standard camera tripod. The second part allows us to mount the webcam on that piece of wood and point it at the code-cards. The required files can be found in the 3dprint folder.

3d printing backup code-cards

To test our project, and to also use it in none-optimal light-conditions, we also used a standard black/white printer to print our code-cards in 2d. The required files can be found in the 2dprint folder.

Cost

Part Cost
10 code-cards ~7 €
1 tripod-to-wood connector ~50 €cent
1 camera holder ~50 €cent
1 piece of wood ?

Total cost for our prototype: ~10 €uros
