Big thanks to @darealshinji for pointing us in the right direction. It didn't seem like replacing the file dialog could solve the issue completely at first. |

It seems avoiding the native Gtk+ file chooser fixes the issue. I'd say for now it's the best option we have to resolve #218 until there's bug fixes out.
