Great news, 1.6.1 is out with even more features and improvements.

Changelog:

• redone the ui a little bit to integrate stats even more, see screenshots below
• got rid of closed cases since they were redundant
• added death rate and closed cases death rate to deaths container (death rate = (deaths/totalCases * 100), death rate closed cases = (deaths/closedCases)*100)
• the same for recoveries
• changed infection map wallpaper
• added tests, tests/1M number for global and country data
• added critical & mild condition number for country data
• moved infection map upper as I believe it's more important than headlines

1.6.0 really requires clean installation, so make sure you clear cache and data for the app after you install the update!

Changelog

• App now benefits of the amazing speed of worldometers api updates, and the feature full api of bing.com. Bing is only used for regional stats now. The rest of the app is based entirely on worldometer stats which update every second so that is a huge, huge improvement.
• You may see that some US States have 0 recoveries, that's what JHU decided to show when there's no official or correct data of recovered people. It's better not to take it into consideration rather than having false data.
• All countries lists now support one tap and long tap on each item, more described below.
• Added country chart for each country into countries section and location-based stats
• Implemented new screens for each country, ever country has it's own specific stats, chart and state/regional/administrative areas if available. You can get into this screen by pressing shortly on a country. Long pressing on a country will navigate you to it on the infection map from now on.
• Added total cases division into active cases and closed cases so have a more in depth look over both stats. Active cases include mild and critical condition patients, and closed cases offers a view over the recoveries and fatalities.
• Revamped global stats showing now death/recovery rate, cases/deaths today or per 1 million people and affected number of countries.
• Added App YouTube Video Walkthrough into settings app for a easier way to understand all the features of the app
• Revamped intro screens when running the app for the first time
• Changed top 3 countries widget to top 5 countries
• Revamped country info into both contries section and location-based stats. Each coutry should now show global rank, total cases, cases today, cases 1M, active cases, deaths cases, deaths today, deaths/1M, death rate, recovered cases and recovery rate.
• Added countries + states/administrative areas/subregions into infection map, and corrected the number shown on blue dots, to have a correct number of cases when you completely zoom out (the sum doesn't take into consideration the sum of states/administrative areas/subregions, but only country number of cases, so there won't be any duplicates in the sum)
• Moved prevention, spreading and symptoms into covid-19 self test section.
• Fixed state location detection into location-based screen stats
• Fixed sorting bug when entering some screens and countries remain sorted one way or another
• Maybe more I forgot to mention...

CoronaVirus Outbreak v1.5.3

Changelog:

Did some major changes to the app, now whenever the api is changed, I won't have to release another app version, I just need to modify some fields remotely.

I'm working on an algorithm to make this action automated, will further look into it tomorrow.

Finally, the 1.5.1 is released having some major changes and bug fixes.

• Fixed bing api, don't know for how long, it really depends on how fast Microsoft changes it
• If bing api will be changed again, I will switch to another api fast and release a new version asap.
• Completely fixed the chart isues with y axis, not everything should work ok in that area
• Reworked the location page, fixed memory leak there
• Fixed countries stats sorting bug
• Changed some backgrounds with more vivid ones
• Optimised the zoom in/out action into the infection map page

• optimized push notifications and fixed huge memory leak caused by them (feedback appreciated, lemme know if they work for you)
• completely optimized the app as much as I could (you will notice most of the speedups when clicking 'see all' countries, searching for a country, and overall by browsing the app)

• returned back to the old map, due to it being more optimized compared to the more lighter one. (won't be doing any changes here, for me optimization > looks)
