Reported here https://rprclan.com/forum/9-hd2-support/2931-hd2-steam-version-cd-key-problem-possible-fix?start=54#20619 initially.

Tested with a friend on my own private server and on a public server. Both using GoG version with unique CD-Keys.

Whoever joins first can join with no problem, the second player gets the error unless he deletes the fix (just deleting d3d8.dll fixes it, but everything looks weird of course).

Try adding "InsertKey = 0" to widescreen fix's ini file.

Ok, that fixed it. Thank you.

Might be better to add that command as a default, since most people get the same default key from gog/steam and it messes with people trying to play multiplayer.

I'll probably add a check for a key, so if it exists, another one won't be inserted.

Sounds good. Thanks for your work.

I know this has nothing to do with your fix but, do you know if it would be possible to fix this bug: https://streamable.com/tkmol

The model from the De Lisle rifle gets decentered after the first shot when aiming down sights, only correcting itself when zooming out. I've added a "crosshair" at the center of the screen for visual aid and recorded it without the widescreen fix to make sure it wasn't it.

Please try this version: https://transfer.sh/10NXfe/HiddenandDangerous2.WidescreenFix.asi
This one shouldn't insert a dummy key in case a real one is found. Don't forget to delete an ini setting first.

No idea, probably a bug in animation.

It worked perfectly, thank you very much.

My friend's AV did detect this new file as harmful, it didn't before, but it might have been just chance.
