Cannot copy paste from Mac 10.15.5 to Ubuntu 18.0.4

Describe the bug
Copy paste isn't working with the tiger VNC client running on Mac 10.15.5 to the tiger VNC server on ubuntu 18.0.4. Both copy to the VNC screen and copy from the VNC screen aren't working.

Input options:

tigerVNC version information on the Mac client:

Client:

• OS: Mac 10.15.5
• VNC client: Tigervnc
• VNC client version: 1.10.1
• Client downloaded from: https://github.com/TigerVNC/tigervnc/releases

Server:

• OS: Ubuntu 18.04
• VNC server: Tigervnc
• VNC server version: Xvnc TigerVNC 1.7.0 - built Dec 5 2017 09:25:01
• Server downloaded from: I'm not sure. I cannot find a tigervnc binary for ubuntu 18.04 online.
• Server was started using: Following these instructions: https://computingforgeeks.com/how-to-install-vnc-server-on-ubuntu-18-04-lts/
  commands:
  $ vncserver :1 -geometry 800x600 -depth 24
  xstartup file:
  exec /usr/bin/startxfce4 &

Would be nice if you could test with a newer server, you can download the .deb, for the last release of the TigerVNC server, from here:

https://bintray.com/tigervnc/stable/download_file?file_path=ubuntu-16.04LTS%2Famd64%2Ftigervncserver_1.10.1-1ubuntu1_amd64.deb

That .deb is for 16.04, 18.04 debs are available from the nightly builds page

I'm running into trouble installing the new package:

Try uninstalling the distribution supplied packages entirely, and then installing ours rather attempting an in-place upgrade.
