Pre-release
PLEASE NOTE
This is a pre-release, and I may re-upload the attached files with bug fixes if needed. Once the release is tested thoroughly over the next week, I'll release version 6.0 final.
New features
- Puzzle Scribe - Write puzzles faster, straight from an input box
- Puzzle Properties - Analyze your puzzles for total letters, unique letters, and the RSTLNE ratio
- Wheel Settings - Fine-tune your wheel for values, special spaces/items, and number of bankrupts
- Wipe scores only on exit - Clear scores while retaining the puzzles for later use
- Toss-Up puzzles - When loading a puzzle, append T to the puzzle number to start a Toss-Up
- No more vowels, no more consonants - Inform players when there's no more vowels/consonants in the puzzle
- Final Spin upgrade - A special banner appears when starting the Final Spin. Final Spins will no longer land on Bankrupt
- Two players view - Play with just two contestants without any extra score boxes
- Editable game name - Useful if you don't want your game to be called WHEEL OF FORTUNE
- Winter backdrop - Blue sky, white ground. Ideal for seasonal events
Changes
- The Free Play wedge, Wild Card, and $10000 wedge are now disabled on the wheel by default
- This change is intended for those not familiar with the show's advanced nuances. You can re-enable these in Wheel Settings.
- The back button on the wheel slides moves to the top
- This helps reduce cursor movement
- Clicking a player's totals score box, in addition to their totals dollar sign, now lets you edit their totals score.
- This should make it easier for users to figure out how to adjust totals scores.
- Clicking the right light pillar now changes the backdrop on the fly
- Previously, it'd just briefly glow the puzzle board, which felt lame
- In windowed mode, the cursor no longer disappears on its own
- To ensure this happens, always start the game from the title slide
- The stadium and valentine's backdrops have color adjustments
- A stylistic change where the wheel is on the ground, rather than the sky
- Many other minor UI and VBA improvements
