Welcome to the Medbase wiki! MedBase is a web application, created for medicine workers, who suggest OTC drugs for patients. The goal of the project is to simplify and organise the whole process of suggesting an OTC drug, having all of the drugs on sale documented in one centralized database and have all available information easily accessed by our users.

Medbase started in 2018 as a student project in TalTech university, it is built on relational database model. The idea came from professionals involved in the medicine sector, who saw a need for such product. The project solves a) the problem of lack of information about OTC drugs in general that is easily accessible to medicine workers b) the problem of representers of medicine companies paying constant visits to the offices of doctors to promote their product - with our platform that wouldn't be necessary and could be done via the platform.
