About

Metastasis is defined as the spread of cancer to different part of the body from where it originated. At present, the underlying genomic mechanisms of metastatic progression are not well known. In this project, we used the MSK-MET dataset to attempt to recreate and extend the results from the paper: "Genomic characterization of metastatic patterns from prospective clinical sequencing of 25,000 patients".

Data

Memorial Sloan Kettering - Metastatic Events and Tropisms (MSK-MET)

MSK-MET is a pan-cancer dataset containing tumor genomic and clinical outcome of 25,000 patients. This data can be downloaded from cBioPortal.

Gene Panels

In addition, cBioPortal gene panels were downloaded from the cBioPortal Public Datahub.
