About

FLUX (FLipped UX) is a technological art project that showcases a social media website that is designed to be visually aesthetic, but is composed entirely of features that are intentionally designed to have horribly unintuitive UX. This project aims to emphasize how important of a role design plays in our lives and how it is too often overlooked. We use social media platforms such as Facebook or Snapchat everyday, but we rarely consciously think about the design unless something is glaringly wrong. FLUX makes everything wrong — on purpose. An invisible design decision goes into the creation of every minuscule element of a site and it often appears as if it could not have been designed any other way. FLUX shows you the other way. The result of this FLipped UX is a product that is pretty bad. But beautifully bad.
