The R package spsurvey is being re-written to update its capability from its initial development in 2004. The package has two major parts: survey design and survey analysis. Both focus on survey designs developed in space, specifically 2-dimensional space. Since spsurvey was designed, new spatial GIS packages have become available, specifically "sf" that spsurvey will take advantage of.
