Update to latest version of GCMD #335
Comments
We want to make sure we do not lose the existing GCMD identifiers validity. |
In general a lot of work is needed for interacting with external vocabularies. |
@amruelama Can you look over Data_review and spot check the updated GCMD keywords? It tagged these as defunct:
|
Test run against data review log can be seen here: https://github.com/USGCRP/gcis-scripts/blob/master/qa_scripts/update_gcmd_keywords/log/20180308_data-review_full_update_science_keywords_8_5.out |
@amruelama here are the states a keyword can be processed as: README |
@lomky Spot checked on data-review and also compared the changes/updates with the current GCMD keywords. Looks good to me! |
Finalized process:
|
@amruelama The update has been run on stage. These keywords are not in the GCMD hosted lookup and are defunct. They should have any associated publications moved and then be deleted:
GCMD Keyword host also has a "Trash Can" keyword it moved some things to. Can you look over all the keywords under it, relocate any associated publications and then we can delete them and the trahs can keyword as well. I don't have any interest in maintaining a copy of the TrashCan. https://data-stage.globalchange.gov/gcmd_keyword/7e70bdb4-dbd0-4e35-b715-3a8e843a7805 |
Here are the keywords we need to handle moving publications off of & deleting: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bIbFJeBSQEF5cEUk9vkiuwy_S3D0C0pIiXyDaZK5MqM/edit?usp=sharing |
I am signed up to get notifications for future GCMD updates. @amruelama are we good to close this ticket? |
We are now up to date with GCMD 8.6 |
Yes, the updates are on prod now. Good to close. |
Also copying @rewolfe and @CurtTilmes .
We're right now still working with Version 8.0 of GCMD.
